The Condo 1 Board of Directors can have as few as 3 and as many as 9 directors on its Board at any given time. Each term runs for 3 years.  The BOD is comprised of homeowners who are elected by our community at the annual meeting in November.  The BOD can hire a treasurer or secretary and they can be paid.  This is not a practice that Condo 1 has followed, and we serve on a Volunteer Basis.  The BOD works closely with our Management Company to ensure that we stay compliant with the Maryland Condominium Act and are current with their rulings.  The BOD should consist of individuals interested in preserving our property values, our quality of life and adhering to our governing principles and rules.  The BOD must act as a fiduciary to those they serve and make sure that our money is spent judiciously.
